Book Reviews

A close look at investment books reveals they come in one of three varieties:
(1) those which purport to impart knowledge on how the market works, and how to make it work for you.
(2) those which seek to refute previous theories on how the market works, and how to protect yourself.
(3) a combination of first refuting past theories then replacing them with new theories on how the market works and how to make it work for you.

However, something can be learned from everything that has ever been written about the stock market on either what to do or what not to do.

The goal here is to present you with a cross section of Wall Street wisdom, commenting upon the good and bad as we see it. To quote Joseph Campbell from his monumental work The Hero With A Thousand Faces: "How teach again, however, what has been taught correctly and incorrectly learned a thousand times, throughout the millenniums of mankind's prudent folly?" (page 218)
